careers after a bsc degree

edited November 2012 in General
Hey fellow students, im just kind of worried about the chances of getting a job after completing a bsc degree for example in molecular biology and biochemistry or biomed physiology, i've heard about forums throughout the internet that a bsc degree doesn't necessarily help you get a job in the field you want in most cases...
any opinions on this from perhaps people that have already graduated with a bsc degree

  • SFU Career Services has a page "One Major, Endless Possibilities" at:

and you can see which careers specific degrees lead to.  It might not hurt to make an appointment with CS one day just to get an idea and some reassurance.  Contact information at:

  • Hey, thanks Annie once again , but counsellors have one point of view but i imagine the students themselves who have graduated with degree in MBB or BPK will probably have a better insight in relation to the job prospects over a counsellor since they are the ones directly heading into the working field not the counsellor.
but i will definitely visit the counsellors after my finals.
