Course required textbooks being changed

edited September 2012 in General
Required texts for some courses are being changed to their latest editions now it's harder to sell textbooks I just bought two or three semesters ago
even though they are identical to the new ones. If they are sold, they have to be sold at a cheaper price so people would buy them. Anyone else have the  same sentiments?

  • You just have to be a little patient. I've bought older edition books from other people, used them, and then sold them for an even higher price than I originally paid. People want to buy a cheaper book. New $190 book, or $90 older edition?

If some people are selling their book cheaper than yours, it'll be bought, and people will eventually have to get it from you. Unless your class isn't that popular.
