anyone wants a ride from surrey to SFU Burnaby?

edited August 2012 in General

Hey guys,

I will be leaving everyday from Surrey (gateway/scott road skytrain station) to Burnaby campus around 6:30am to get to burnaby by 7:00am. I will be studying there until 9pm. If anyone is interested in a ride either to campus/back/ or both ways, I have space for 4 people. I will be taking $3 one-way way or $5/day (for two way trip) to help me cover my parking fees. Email me at alpha.mahmood@gmail.com

Thank you!

  • I might be interested, but 6:30 is kinda early, I can only be sure after i've confirmed my class schedule
  • hey yeah, 6:30 is early, lol.. but it's the only way I can avoid the patullo bridge traffic and get on campus before all the parking spots in my parking lot are gone. If you are interested let me know, I'm sure we can try going there a little later (before 8 though) once classes start to see if I can get there without losing parking space. Let me know. e-mail me whenever you find out for sure.

  • how long would it take by ur car? and would i need to be there everyday or most days?
  • It takes max 20-30mins on weekdays during rushhour. When there is no rushhour, then it takes about 20mins. (This route is obviously starting from either gateway/scott road skytrain station to Burnaby campus).

And no you do not have to travel everyday. Whatever day you want to, let me know. I will be getting there in the morning and leaving around 9pm everyday or a little earlier (if I'm tired of studying). You can choose either leaving with me in the morning, evening, or both, and just pay me then.

  • whoa what kinda program would require studying everyday from ~7am to 9pm? dentistry hopeful?
  • oh i just noticed u said gateway/scott road skytrain... what bout surrey central or at the surrey campus?
  • yah that works perfectly too. I forgot to mention, I will also be going on weekends if anyone wants to study there for a few hours. We can always leave later on weekends since rushhour won't be a problem. Anyone interested let me know. I just got a car, and I remember how aweful it used to be bussing to campus when I was in undergrad.
  • btw, I'm a US medical student and an sfu graduate. I have my medical license exam on Nov 6th, thus all the non-stop studying. Ugh... student life sucks sometimes.
  • ok guys.. I will be leaving surrey around 7am. It gets us to campus around 7:30am. It's early, but if anyone's interested, contact me.
