How does SFU differ from UBC? Any past experience(s)?

edited August 2012 in General
I got rejected by UBC and am going to SFU this year. Although getting turned down was a terrible feeling, I am hoping that the experience at SFU will out-weight the commute from UBC to SFU (I live in UBC). In short, is there anything at SFU I can look forward to? Having lived in UBC for around 10 years, all I know is the student life here.

Help? :)

  • Well what faculty did you applied to? why don't you just switch faculties?
  • wait, u mean u can live on a university's campus despite not being admitted to that university?
  • Your question is pretty broad.  What do you want to know about SFU specifically?

  • MXC - yes you can buy real estates on university grounds
  • I graduated from SFU 3 years ago. From what I know UBC student wish they went to SFU, because those that go to SFU  actually have jobs when they graduate.
  • why's that?
