ECON301 and ECON331

edited July 2012 in General
Hi there!  I'm just wondering if anybody here has taken these courses, and could comment on how they compare.  Should I take ECON331 or 301 first?  Is it advisable to do both at the same time?

Thanks in advance!

  • 301 is microeconomics and 331 is mathematics of economics. both are quantitative, but 331 is tailored for students who want to pursue honors which includes more advanced math concepts. You can take math 232 in place of 331. math 232 would be more interesting and more in depth mathematically speaking. 301 would require at most first order derivatives.
