Going into Sciences!

edited August 2012 in General
Hi all, im thinking of applying to the sciences for spring 2013 as the deadline for that is September 15th. I was wondering if physics 11 is a required pre-requisite or am I able to take that course in sfu itself for the sciences faculty? If anyone can answer this questions it would help me a great deal. Thank you :)

Courses I have taken: History 12, Chem 12, Bio 12, English 12, Math 12!

  • I'm sure you're fine. I was admitted into sciences and I definitely don't have physics 11 (don't even have chem 12!) (: I did do IB though, I don't know if that plays a part in it. Here are the admission requirements: http://students.sfu.ca/admission/requirements.html. It says you only need two grade 12 sciences, which you have, so happy enrolling! (:
  • ...and if you have more questions call 778-782-6930...
  • Thank you both a lot, really appreciate the help :)
  • If you are going to science you usualy have to take chemistry, physics, biology and math, and that applies to the biology, chemistry programs. I took Molecular Biology and Biochemistry and you have to take physics, take physics 100 good introductory.
  • i think you do need it! at least a pass... how will u understand physics 100 without some sort of background in the subject? you dont need physics 12 tho.
