So anyone still having trouble getting a co-op job for the summer? I have sent 35 Resumes and only got 2 interviews and 0 offers

  • Nope, continuing on from january co-op :D

For me after only scoring 1 interview before lightning round started, I went in and worked with the good people of my co-op office to help spiff up my documents more... After that I got a few more interviews... hired on the 3rd one. If you've sent 35 resumes and only 2 interviews probably should talk to your co-op advisors and see if they can find any major faults and/or help you figure out how you might make further improvements.

I imagine summer's probably a little more competitive since most people don't take classes in the summer, so I dunno.
  • EricJ is right. more people are applying in the summer and therefore there is more competition. What can I say... it is very competetive out there. If you can't find a co-op then be sure to do something else like travelling. If you can't get what you're looking for then at least do something that you won't really be able to do in the future.
