1) it looks ugly 2) Theres so many cliques (especially fobs) who dont want to meet new people. totally wrecks the whole "university experience" 3) there's no organized social events (university run) and there's no get togethers/parties by students.

What a bunch of needy fucks you have to spread your social relationships everywhere including school thank god for SFU, I couldn't survive another high school.
If you go to Club Days and put your sign up with 2 or 3, they tend to hold a few social events. You can fill up your calendar pretty quick like that. But the reason there's no community is that SFU is not in a city centre. It's all alone up on a mountain.
The surrey campus has the best community imo, great campus, great people, great profs, TONS of ways to get involved (either clubs, student ambassadors). And joke all you want about it being in 'surrey' but its much better than burnaby in comparison. The view is not as great though, but thats about it :P
