Stat 101 and Kin 110
I was planning to fit criminology into my schedule but I couldn't. So i'm considering to take one of these two courses as elective.
Has anyone taken Kin 110 and Stat 101 before??? how were these courses???
The stat course is only offered as "Distance Education" and the instructor is
Paul Louis Vaughan.
Thanx in advance

The course itself has numbers but you needn't necessarily be good at math. Maybe basic algebra (I'd tell you what but I forgot all of it).
I can only suggest you understand everything and WORK FAST during the midterm (which is only 1 hour). The final is a bit easier but still, keep up with your readings and make sure you know everything.
and overall,,, does this course take so much work or is the work load average???
Thanx
I'm taking my first Distance Ed course this semester, so I'm afraid I don't have a lot of information to give. You do have to go down to the campus to pick up the courseware. It's a big package that includes an outline and all the information you need. I'd take some of the quizzes on the Distance Ed site to see if you are ready for online learning... plus make sure your computer meets the requirements!
I took it using the FirstClass message system which can store a large amount of info so you can save drafts of your assignments. That system also has an instant message function (much like MSN Messenger). You submit assignments on-line but come in to do the midterm and final for that particular class.
