RTW- 3rd year going into fourth.
I was put on academic probation during summer 2011 and due to extenuating circumstances, I did not successfully complete Fall 2011 and was Required to withdraw. I know I have the option of applying for retroactive withdrawal under extenuating circumstances, but due to the fact that I take government student loans, its become a bit trickier for me to navigate the process to receive the withdrawals but not have to forgo student aid in the future. At the moment, I am enrolled in classes at another institution so that if I can't use the WE's or they are denied, I can still apply for readmission with a 3.5 GPA. What I'm concerned about is if I am even able to transfer credits that are 100 and 200 level (i.e. Psych 102 and Soc 250) if I was already taking 300 level courses at SFU, but in another faculty (i.e. Crim 300)? Does anybody have any experience with this process? I saw an academic advisor in December and to be quite honest, she was not much help and she did seem to have any definitive answers for me. I've made another appointment for next week with a different advisor, but in the meantime it would be helpful to hear from anyone who has experience here!
Thanks!
