Has anyone done Math 150 with Dr. Veselin Jungic?

edited January 2012 in General
Hi, is it true that Dr. J's midterms are identical to his sample midterms?
I am taking Math 150 this semester and I saw on rate my prof that his midterms are same as the sample ones.

  • lol, I definitely wouldn't rely on it being the same. I took his 151 class, but that was in 2008 so I don't remember. They might've been reasonably similar. But not the same
We also had the opportunity to cancel out our midterm grades if we did better on our final. Dunno if he's still doing that.

Regardless, you should spend the time to learn this stuff as well as you can or you'll probably regret it in future courses...
  • I took 152 with him back in 2007. His midterms were definitely similar to the sample ones.
  • k.. I heard his exams are very hard.. (half class fails) do you mean the midterms are similar to the ones that are posted on WebCT with solutions?
  • (in my experiences, only focusing on the material covered in sample tests did little more than instill false confidence)
  • Dr. J is awesome! I got a B+ in calculus, if you do the textbook problems and review the sample questions he does in class, prepare for the sample midterms by doing them several times you will get an A no problem - my mistake was not focusing on his sample questions as much as i should have
  • thanks everybody, i have his midterm on feb 1
let's see how i do in his class.. :P
(i've done calc 12 when i was in high school and did math 154 last semester so i was just curious about his midterm style and difficulty level...)
