math 150 and macm 101

edited August 2011 in General
To anyone that has taken math 150 before,
companion to calculus is required and Stewart;s single variable caluculus: Early Transecendentals is recommended

Have you guys used the ealry trans book much compared to the companion book? Or is it a book that you'd never touch during the course?

same thing for macm101, do the optional recommended books get used very often?

  • MACM 101 uses Grimaldi's Book, I dunno who is teaching it in the Fall but I would highly recommend getting Rosen's book as the Rosen book explains things a lot better than Grimaldi.
