Advertising taken to new heights

For marketing students out there, here is a new idea for your next creative project!
From www.thelifecommentary.com
"Advertisers in New Zealand are looking for new ways to capture your
attention. An ad agency DDB Auckland is using plates installed on
benches to imprint their ad onto the back of bare legs. This is what
they have to say about it:
We put indented plates on bus stops, mall, and park benches, so
that when people sat down, the messages was imprinted on their thighs.
This meant that as well as having branded seats, a veritable army of
free media was created, with thousands of imprints being created and
lasting up to an hour.
This is creatively invasive. I can’t imagine people being too pleased
about advertisements pressed onto their skin. I would be quite pissed
actually if I sat on a bench and ads start to show up on my thigh. While
an argument can be made that this new guerilla marketing technique will
generate lots of discussion, I’m not too sure if this would be too
pleasing on the eyes if the ads were to say… imprinted on a fat chick."
