"B" is, and always will be, the correct way of hanging your toilet paper. If you hang it in the "A" fashion, you are an uncivilized, inhuman heathen.

"A" is clearly superior. It not only looks better, but it allows for easy ripping of the paper by pulling up against the side of the roll holder.
"B" users risk unrolling the whole spool with every tug.
