CMPT courses with Kirkpatrick

Anyone took classes with him? I heard his assignments are ok but his exams are tough and kind of unrelated to what he teaches, is this true ?

    The only class I took with him was CMPT 376, which is a writing course and has no exams. His assignments are fair, though sometimes they can be quite confusing and difficult to understand at first. However, he is extremely nice and goes out of his way to help you understand what he expects out of the assignments, not like other profs who prefer to keep you guessing.

    I took 2 courses with him CMPT212 and CMPT376 - neither had exam section in it. He is very nice and helpful. I enjoyed his lectures.
