CMPT 275 group selection

edited September 2010 in General
Hey there,

It's been a while since I have contributed anything useful on this site, but I am wondering if groups for cmpt 275 are autogenerated.

Anybody have any good experiences taking this class in the past?

Also, anyone else taking this class? maybe I'll see you next Monday evening.

Depends on the prof. Most will let you choose at least one of your partners.

the prof for this term is herbert tseng.

and for some reason i was thinking they would be automatically assigned.

Not sure what your prof will do, but when I took it with Regan I think we were allowed to pick one person.

When I took with Tsang the groups were assigned. I don't think could choose at all.

ya we got to pick 1 person.
its supposed to simulate real world where u wont pick your team

Just got my group. All auto-assigned. Probably a good thing, because as bufli mentioned you dont get to pick your teams on planet reality.

I certainly dont here at work.

EDIT: seems like the prof knows about this site, although he referred to it as sfutalk.ca. However, there is no sfutalk.ca, so I figured he meant this site.

man, i have a feeling having a 2 hour lecture in surrey before cmpt275 is going to be an annoyance when planning group meetings

this monday I'm going to have to go from home to Burnaby, back to surrey, to burnaby, and then home again, for a total of 4-5 hours on transit.
  • Hey! there is a SFUtalk.ca
    its also a forum site
