    ENGL 105 W
    or
    PHYS 190

    what do you all say?

You know PHYS is Physics, right? Philosophy courses are PHIL.

Phys 190 and 192 are supposed to be fun lower division physics courses. I've heard lots of good things about 192, but nothing about 190.

PHYS 190 is supposed to be great. It's intro to Astronomy and Howard Trottier, the prof, is super passionate about the subject. Definitely want to take it next time it's offered (didn't work with my schedule this term).

of course I know PHIL and PHYS.

bad comparison on my part, but which one's better...

Well, with a title like "ENGL or PHILO", it wasn't obvious.

Anyway, you can't compare Arts and Science courses. It depends on your strengths. If you're good at memorizing facts and solving problems, you'll probably do better in PHYS. If you can write A+ papers on literature, then take ENGL.
