Do I need to bring glasses?

Glasses make me feel uncomfortable. Are most classes taught through lectures? Or do they use whiteboards and projectors for note taking as in high school?

    Projectors are generally used (for power points/notes) but occasionally the professor may throw something up on the whiteboard. Just bring your glasses in case, but if your eyesight isn't too bad, you could probably get away with just sitting close to the front.

    ok. thank you. do you find that most of your learning is achieved through the lectures and notes, or do the professors basically do reviews of the textbook? (for non lab courses)

    It really depends on the professor. I've had professors who stuck to the textbook (to the point where lectures were essentially readings from the text) and also ones who deviated significantly from the textbook. I find that I learn most material from notes and lectures and use the textbook as a supplement, when clarification is needed. Generally the notes that the professor provides are more important than textbook readings (at least that's what I've experienced, as a science student).

    Wear your DAMN glasses.

    Not trying to sound rude, but it's going to HELP you.

    If your not used to glasses, then GET used to them. If you can't see well you will get screwed and FAIL.

    Take my advice and get used to your glasses.

    ok. thanks guys. I'll have to go shopping for a pair of glasses that doesn't keep slipping off my nose then =/

    make sure you go to a good place then? I wear glasses too and when I went last time they made sure it fit and all that...

    Get proper glasses and have them check it, AND if you have a issue with them TELL them. They will do what's needed to be sure your happy.

    Trust me the glasses will be worth it for school. I know I could barley read stuff and it was horrible. So do your self a favor and get the proper stuff.
