Watching EPL in SFU

edited August 2010 in General
Hey guys,

So I was wondering since i've heard football/soccer isn't very popular in North America, where do people watch the EPL in SFU? Do you guys have like a viewing club or is there a sports bar nearby that shows it?

Thanks :)

I'd like to know this too. I'm an Arsenal fan myself. :)

I usually just watch it at home but commercial drive probably has a couple of places playing the games. All the big games are usually played at most bars and restaurants though.

Also, you must be a Manchester United fan. Or else.

Ah the World Cup depressed me too much. I've always cheered for Holland, and to see them completely fall apart in the finals was depressing.

Haha gunners for life man! In Malaysia, EPL is like the big thing everywhere so, NO FOOTBALL= NO LIFE.

Oh so all those ppl that watch in bars are mostly MU fans aye?

For whatever reason, people here tend to be either Arsenal or MU fans, with MU being a bit more popular.

Personally, I don't watch much football, and find it ridiculous that out of ALL the teams in the EPL, almost every "fan" in this country supports one of those two. Apparently nobody likes Liverpool, or Chelsea, or Man City, or any of the other 20 teams in the league. They just support MU or Arsenal.

Why? I have no idea. Maybe it's an EPL thing, where those are the only two teams you're "supposed" to like.

ohh here, its just the original big 4. I think it's cause outside the big four, no other team has a realistic chance of winning the premier league. So unless you live/lived in England in the areas of those other teams, you wouldn't really support them. But no idea on the Arsenal and MU only thing lol :P

Honestly, I only have two friends that are Arsenal fans, and one that's a Man U fan. The rest are all Liverpool, Chelsea or Everton fans.
