Aiming for the odd mix of CMNS 304W, FPA 210, Gender 200, and SA 150.

    Econ 103
    CMNS 130 (maybe)

Probably a health science course or something.

    MBB 321
    MBB 322
    MBB 323
    CHEM 126
    CHEM 286
CMPT 165 or ARCH 100 or ENGL 199 (or possibly something else, I haven't quite decided)

SA 250 and SA 255 for sure. I'm not sure if I want to take one more upper div SA course, or take two more courses with a b-hum course as the fourth option. Since 255 is a methods course, it might be a lot of work for me.

Gordon Myers ratings on RateMyProf seem higher than Dudnyk, but Dudnyk's comments seem a helluva lot more positive.

As for MATH 157, I've talked to some friends who've taken it and a couple had Choi and loved him. Only one of my friends has taken a class with Menz before, I think MATH 100, and said she was awful. All I know is that my friends said Choi is pretty easy for Calc, and that's definitely something I want since Math is my worst subject.

English classes are very subjective. 100 level ones often have two essays to write, and the exams are essay-based, so it really depends on your TA/whoever marks the papers and their preferences. That said, I took 105 over 101 and enjoyed it a lot. But check out the course outlines on the English site, see what they're reading, and what theme each class has for next term, and choose which one appeals most to you.

I've taken both ENGL 101 and 105, and I agree with desolate. The marking is very subjective, and it is likely that your TA will determine your entire grade in the course. It doesn't hurt to look your professor up though, as I found ENGL 105 with Ogden to be much heavier on memorization of terminology, whereas there was really no terminology to learn in ENGL 101 with Larsen. There are many professors that teach ENGL 101 and 105, so other students might not have had the same experiences as me.

    You're joking, right?

320 and 376 are two of the easiest CS courses available.
310 and 470 are fun, not hard, and have average workloads.

i heard that 310 is hard. 470 will be fun, i know. Its just the combination of those 4 courses i'm worried about.

    How's CMPT 376 with Arthur Liestman ??

    it's easy??
  • edited June 2010
It's a basic (really, really basic) writing course. If you have a firm grasp of English, it'll be a breeze.

    I'm currently doing 101, i've already completed 105..

I found 105 to be more interesting...in terms of which is easier.. it's hard to say as it depends on your TA.

Still unsure if I'm going to die horribly or not yet. All the reviews on Rate My Prof seem fine except for Omae who's teaching JAPN200, but I can't really avoid her.

Yeahh I actually ended up changing my schedule round a bit. I'm taking GERM102 instead of JAPN200, and ARCH100 instead of GEOG162. I figure I'll wait 'til Takei teaches it. :P
