Math 251? Can be. Try to get some old exams. It can be like pulling teeth to get the math prof to cough up, but if you can, root through the math lab on the AQ 4000 level. There's bound to be some old exams lurking around up there.
When I took it, I remember that for our final percentages, 50% equated to a B in the course. I guess it depends on the Prof though. Edit: I'm referring to math 251, by the way.

I did a little googling and the kind of exam your friend can expect to face would be a slightly simpler version of this: http://web.mit.edu/wwmath/vectorc/ispath/sfinal.pdf
Here's another one: http://www.math.purdue.edu/~chen/ma174/ex1_pra.pdf
Just google "Multivariable calculus exams" and see what comes up.
Edit: I'm referring to math 251, by the way.
