Spicy food, anyone?
avg. $$ is about 17 for the entrees (it's not a cheap restaurant) but you get unlimited soup, or salad and bread action and damn, it's sooooo good.
but if you go, esp. on a weekend, don't expect to get seated right away. (we waited an hour but you're allowed to put your name in, go and come back) i think you might also be able to call in advance and put your name in for that night (they don't take reservations)
no, i don't work there
original combo and movie ticket for $10.99. i dont know if it's a special at all triple o's but damn, that's a really good deal to take advantage of if you're near langley. might want to call other triple o's and see if they have the deal or not
Sushi California @ Bby- Austin X North Road across from lougheed mall
Sushi Garden @ Bby - Across from Metrotown
Samurai Sushi @ across from Oakridge mall
these two places above have MASSIVE rolls/sashimi
Hapa Izakaya @ Downtown Robson - Expensive as hell but it's very good!
Chambar
Brix Restaurant & Wine Bar
Irish Heather
Lumiere
and you get a pen too if you finish, but not really the pen is the reward, but seeing your friends loathing in pain from all the pasta yet not finishing it haha.
chicken catchetori ( or however you spell it ) is chill, and its not like theres so much pasta it's badd, all the pastas dam tasty.
Lumieres on the other hand is supposed to FANTASTIC. set menu price of $160 per person! and thats without booze. its more of a bf/gf place i think... on my list of places to check out... ill get back to u guys on this one
their customer service is something i wouldn't talk about...
hot pot however.. chubby lamb in richmond is pretty good.. but quite far away... from where i am
i hav to go try that, but i prob wont finish ><
Man... we should organize a "TalkSFU dine out event"
lol
traditional -
aji sai in kerrisdale
sushi house in richmond/burnaby
fusion/tapas -
guu with garlic
guu on thurlow (the original but i prefer garlic)
hapa (hapa's my personal favorite. the dark decor, awesome food and hot servers make me want to go back lol)
Edit: Uhh, I didn't know I already posted here?! I guess this shows how much I love Lumiere~
What do those restaurants have in common, Steven?
They are not THE KEG ... which has many locations in the GVRD and all happen to be tied for the best.
EBISU on Robson
