Red U-Pass

edited June 2010 in General
Woohoo! Now time to drop that course. Suhweet.

However, they've started to threaten students that do this. Apparently they ask you to mail the U-Passes back and if you don't, they'll fine you. Anyone have an experience with that?

Either or, I'm planning on keeping mine. Muahaha.

    Well aren't you automatically going to have to pay at least $50?

    April 10 (Saturday) to May 18 (Tuesday)
    Penalty of $50 for each class DROPPED (maximum total penalty $100) during this period, if your net class load has decreased

    Yup, I know that already.. sigh...

    But I'm talking about the "threat" that they are now issuing to students.. Apparently that's what happened to a friend of mine last year so she returned it. Meh, I'm not gonna return it. A $50 unlimited U-Pass is pretty sweet for the next 3/4 months!

    it should be trivial to find out that you're doing it and fine you, but theyre probably pretty inept.
    i guess it depends how big the fine is!
    let us know imo =P

    I like the red color myself. :) Anyhoo, I've no idea what this 'fine' is, but if they do, it'll probably show up on your goSFU account.

    From feminist perspective, the u-pass is cool :)

    Please elaborate.

    No, no need to worry about the threat. I apply for a refund on my u-pass fee every semester (have a employer pass), get the same letter and still keep my u-pass for.... sentimental reasons. Been doing the same for the past 2 years.

    Dont' fret. Enjoy your $50 U-pass goodness.

    I'm at UBC, they make us pay a $100 deposit that can't be transferred to the next session. :sad:
