On Campus Housing

edited April 2010 in General
Anyone here living on campus?

I applied for Hamilton Hall (grads only) a month ago, would like to learn from your experience - when can I expect being offered (or declined)? Rez office says they will not handle anything before April. Someone at Louis Riel told me he was offered a flat around June or July... I hope it doesn't take THAT long..!

I'm assuming the majority of people in this forum are undergrads, and I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think the application process/offers work the same for the graduate housing.

I've no idea about Hamilton either. You may want to peek at the Peak's website as there were a couple articles about Hamilton a while back.

I know Hamilton has been renovated, I hope it is OK now (not expecting a palace but at least some decent, suitable living conditions).

I've never been in Hamilton Hall but if you ask some pointed questions to the rez people you can decide for yourself if they're fudging, and if so, seek alternate accommodation. If you have a supervisor already picked out and everything, shoot them a quick e-mail asking them to have the department assistant forward your request and see what comes out of the grapevine.
