What did you take in summer and what electives do you recommend?

edited March 2010 in General
Are many of you taking courses in summer? It seems this summer don't have lots of courses offered, and some profs are generally new.

So, what are you taking/

The courses I need for my major seem to be full or new profs are teaching them, and I'm trying to find some easy electives at this point, or I only have 2 courses... any electives you are taking or you would suggest?

Cheers

I'm sure this isn't the first time you've been asked, but why STAT 270 instead of BUEC 232?

In 270, you'll be on an even playing field with other science/appsci students.

In 232, you'll be a CS student taking an easy math course full of arts students. You'll pick up at least a B+ with minimal effort.

Ended up deciding to abandon most sciences then? Haha. I can never keep track.

    I'm just doing coop.

Yeah, most people can't. I'm kind of in my own little world when it comes to that stuff.

After failing my CHEM midterm, and generally hating that class, I didn't think it'd be the way to go if I want to be happy. So I'll just get my Biology fill through taking a few KIN classes and go towards business like I intended.

Way back when I was a Chemistry undergrad I did a full slate of courses in summer of 2003:

    CHEM 260, 282, 286
    MATH 252
    PHYS 211

Next summer after that was summer 2004:

MATH 310, PHYS 221, NUSC 444 (directed studies)

Summer 2005 I basically ran out of options and just took these to fill in some computing:

    CMPT 110 (distance ed), 120, 165

So it all depends on your cirriculum and your course choice in your faculty.
