HIST 106 - The Making of Modern Europe (P. Garfinkel)
HIST 204 - The Social History or Canada (C. Seager
HIST 213 - The United States since 1877 (K. Ferguson)
HIST 225 - 20th Century Europe (I. Vinkovetsky)

a humanities course that somehow relates to macm?
    sounds good to me.

@icerider: there's also IAT, surely not my thing, but many people have suggested them for b-hum credits.

My friend is taking HUM 102 right now... said there's a lot to remember and a decent amount of reading, but it's fun. I also have three friends with McIntosh as their Phil teacher right now and that she's really nice and a good teacher, but gives very hard tests. Know that Reder specializes in First Nations Studies and Aboriginal literature. Thus, ENGL 101W next term focuses on monsters in Aboriginal literature. If that isn't your thing, don't take it. ENGL 105W sounds AMAZING next term. I wanted to take it, but I switched into CrimOne starting in the Spring term so I'm just going to take 101W in Surrey. Reading the Canterbury Tales and Vonnegut stuff, as well as listening to Bob Dylan music? Personally, I'd take that one, no questions asked, but it's up to you.

HIST 102, post-confederation canadian history with Mark Leier should be good. I've never had a course with him, but most people I know who have say that Leier is one of the best profs in SFU bar none.

HIST 225, 20th century european history with Ilya Vinkovetsky is good. No essays, just 3 tests. Vinkovetsky is a really funny guy, you'll definitely get a few good laughs out of the class. Plus, he marks really easy if you pay attention and take good notes.
