Psych 102 this semster

You basically pick a side and critique the research evidence (i.e. the experiment itself and its resultant conclusions) of the article which you think best exemplifies the "right" side of the debate.
E.g. Your topic is about pain. One article employs an experiment and deduces that pain is the result of internal mechanisms (i.e. cognitive or what not) and the other article concludes that pain is the result of external mechanisms (i.e. the environment).
If you think the internal argument/article presents a stronger argument, then say so and use evidence from that article to support your analysis.
For example, article one might control for external variables, making the ultimate conclusion that pain is the result of internal mechanisms more clear and less likely the result of confounding variables.
I'm a little confused as well. Haven't really looked at it until now. Stupid assignment TBH with little or no relevance to the entire course as a whole.
That's what I did for assignment one and she gave me full marks.
She specifically said that you should focus on the writing aspect, its more of how you present your argument rather than how correct it really is.
If you can manipulate the facts of the article in a way that conforms to what you want to say, and it makes sense, at least in some respect, though not entirely, then you should be fine.
It is a first year course, don't get too caught up on it. In the end, I think the final marks will be scaled up anyway.
