edited June 2010 in General
What would you guys recommend as fun games for iPhone? I was bored on a flight yesterday and I was baffled as to why I don't have any games on my phone...first one I downloaded today was Chess and I'm kicking the computers ass haha...what you guys got?

Chess: Shredder - It's pretty full featured. It has analysis, puzzles, and it adjusts its rating automatically when you win.

Tower Defense: Geo Defense - It's not a very satisfying TD game for some reason, but it can be tough, and it looks good.

GPS games: Foursquare - not sure what all the hype about this was about. Basically, you go to places in the city and "check in" there - which gives you meaningless points. You can also add places and leave tips for other people who go to the same area. ie: "the coffee here sucks". I uninstalled it.

    That's all I've got.

I am so addicted to "Flood-It". It's pretty much the only game I play, challenging but soooo addicting because you just want to win once!

Dude, FourSquare was hyped sooo much as the biggest thing since Twitter...but it's really nothing. I guess people that jump around alot think it's cool to "check in" and make a game out of it but it's really pointless if you ask me.

I'm gonna check out some of those...I just realized that games come in handy at work too LOL

If you want a Zelda-esque adventure game like A Link To The Past, Zenonia and Zenonia 2 are great.

Plants vs Zombies is an awesome tower defense game.

Zen Bound is also enjoyable, but don't expect straight-up action. It is really there to make you think.

Then, of course, Tap Tap Revenge 3 is a lot of fun (and the only game I listed that's free on the app store if you are like me and have decided not to jailbreak your iPhone/iTouch).

They have Myst, Monkey Island and Final Fantasy for the iPhone now. Those games are classics. I'd buy them if they didn't take up so much space.

I won't get Final Fantasy for the simple fact it costs $10 and, like you said, takes up a lot of space. Same reason I won't get Call of Duty: Zombies.

Though another reason is I have Final Fantasy on a GBA cartridge and I have World at War for the 360.

Angry Birds is so addictive. :o
  • I agree, Angry Birds is a pretty stupid game but extremely addictive. Also, Cut the Rope and Words with Friends. If you're a music lover, RjDj is pretty cool.
  • angry birds! (btw is the full game still 99c on appstore?) just found out full game is free on android lol
  • Tried the Angry Birds, but wasn't a big fan. Cut the Rope is awesome though. Wish it had more levels.

And yeah, Angry Birds is still $0.99, but you can get it for the low, low price of free if your iPhone is jailbroken. Trainyard EX is pretty fun too. Oh, and Sonic the Hedgehog.

I just downloaded a game called Rage HD.. it's a first person shooter, and the graphics are amazing. If I could go back in time and show this to people I think they'd be so amazed... you control the aim by tilting the iphone up/down and side to side which makes it that much more interesting. Highly recommend buying this if you like call of duty/zombie style games, especially for 1.99

Omg they have sonic for iphone?
