Brunch Date in Vancouver!

edited January 2010 in General
I'm on a post-rampage right now.

My bf and I are celebrating our 1.5 year in December, and it's on a Sunday. I'm looking for a great brunch location preferably in the downtown area as I've been designated to make the choice and reservation.

I've heard Provence Marinaside was the best, but online they already look booked up for our date. Anyone been to the Fairmont? Hotel Vancouver? Bacchus?

I can't stand making these sort of decisions!

Provence is awesome. I've heard good many good things about Bacchus, Glowbal, and Section 3.

    I am so lost!

I made a reservation for Bacchus. It looks gorgeous inside!

I was gonna say Heron's (Fairmont Waterfront) but Bacchus is really good too, very fancy indeed

Heron's looks soooo yummy, and they're having a special 'Jinglebell Buffet' that day....but he prefers plated. I love buffets.

Still time to change my mind :)

I second that!!! So good there. They offer high tea and everything is amazing. Everything. I highly recommend the creamy earl gray tea.

I'm coming back to TalkSFU as always ;)

Planning a Saturday night to celebrate my bf's birthday next week (we're celebrating this Saturday). I haven't been to the Granville Island Theatre Sports in years, but I've heard it's still great. What are your thoughts on a dinner (Bridges???) and then Theatre Sports?

He always plans our dates so I feel like I'm freezing up...even though it's oh so simple.

I think I was at Bridges like once. It's pretty nice. :)

Never been to Bridges but Sandbar was awesome!

Also, if you guys are fans of the Secret Garden/high tea, you should try Urban Tea Market in North Vancouver.

I think I've changed my mind...to the Teahouse in Stanley Park. I've heard good things but have never been.

And I LOVED the Secret Garden. Thanks for the recommendation! Definitely going to look into the North Van one.
