That's right...it's the Panasonic 3DO. 32-bit processor, a whopping 2MB of RAM, 1MB of VRAM, and a 2x CD-ROM drive. Jealous? I thought so. And this is to add to my already vast arsenal of video game consoles.

Anyhow, I created another thread similar to this a while back, but since nobody reads that forum, I'll post it here. In case anybody is getting rid of some old gaming systems, let me know and I could possibly buy them from you.

I have a modded slim PS2, it's right above the Genesis. Thanks anyway, I guess.

haha damn that thing is slim i didn't even notice it.

I used to have turbo grafix but i think i just threw it out in the trash one day cause i haven't seen it in 3-4 years. Only had like 3 games for it, but it was pretty cool. I liked how the games were like little credit cards.

Damn, I've been looking for a TG16. Hell, I found the Saturn and the 3DO by fluke. I looked online, and the 3DOs (the FZ-1 series) were at least $100+. Best thing about it is, there was no copy protection on the system, so I can burn all of the games.

i'll keep my eyes out for it, but i highly doubt i still have it unfortunately.

Good luck with your search for systems, you got a pretty nice collection goin on.

Are they all attached to the HDTV? Even the PS2's graphics would be pixelated at that size!

Yeah, they are, and yes, they're all horribly pixelated. I want to get an SDTV for my old systems, but don't really have a place to put one. I'll live with it for now.

    no xbox 360? fail
  • edited August 2009
^ I'm sure if I had one, it'd spend most of its time back and forth in the mail, to and from the repair centre anyway. Wouldn't be on my stand long enough for me to take the picture.

Yeah I have way too many systems. Me and my bro have bought an Xbox 360 and Wii and I have a PS3, PS2, SNES, DS and PSP.

And for anyone with a PS3 or X360: Pick up Batman: Arkham Asylum. I honestly think it's one of the best games I've played. And I got it for only $38 at Best Buy (though that deal is over now).

I know how to set a home theatre up, but I can't really make a lot of noise, so I've refrained from purchasing one. I already have speaker wires in the walls/

My DS and PSP just sit in my drawer. I usually bring them with me on flights, but always just end up listening to music or watching shitty movies. Anyhow, I already have a place that I'm going to get a Gamecube from, so that's that. Atari 2600 should be an easy find. I've also always wanted a Virtual Boy, but could never find one at a decent price.

are you actively buying these antique things MB?
  • edited August 2009
All you need is a 360 and (maybe) a Wii.
  • edited August 2009
Nobody needs a Wii. Seriously the biggest waste of money ever.

I used to be that typical Nintendo fanboy who would defend all of their stuff, but I doubt I'll buy any future Nintendo systems. Control scheme, though at first looking fresh and interesting, is a complete gimmick and the system is severely lacking in the games department.

Lixie's brother left the country for a while, so during that time we had his Wii over at our place. In the 6 months or so we had it, it was played maybe...8-10 times. And that's a generous estimate.

I'm still debating whether or not I should get a 360. Other than maybe Mass Effect and maybe Gears of War, everything else is cross-platform. The PS3 just has more exclusives that I want to play. I'll definitely pick one up once the Elite goes down in price though.

it not about exclusives, its about sexbox live and not having shitty controllers.

Also i can get u a premium one thats pre-modded, lifetime warranty and an upgraded fan for 220. I can get it with the bigger hd for a lil more. but if you want the black one pick it up now. i also heard there only gunna be white as soon as all the premiums get phased out.

Also mass effect is awesome, on the second playthrough now.

I prefer the PS3 controller though. Been using it since the PS1 days, so I've grown used to it. Also, paying to play online is not cool. I rarely have problems with connecting on PSN, so I don't see why XBox Live can't be free.

And yeah, exclusives are a big deal. Metal Gear Solid 4 was all I needed to bring me to PS3. God of War III is going to be fucking crazy, and GT5 is going to be out by the end of the year. The Last Guardian, made by the same people who made Shadow of the Colossus, looks like it'll be pretty cool. SotC was one of the best games i played on PS2. The Uncharted games are pretty good too. So yeah, nothing against XBox, but for now I'm preferring the PS3 library.

I dunno, i get games free off a friend, so i dont mind paying 50 bucks a year for live. Even if i bought all the games legit from the store its still worth the extra 50.

I actually am thinking about grabbing the ps3 slim for the bluray player but i'm not to keen on any of the exclusives offered on the ps3 other than god of war. I've found an easy way to play mkv's on my tv so i may just hold on if i can find a good source of hd movies and such.

I didnt own a ps2 or ps1 so that explains why im not to into games like metal gear and gran turismo. Gran turismo and forza equally suck though. Forza is literally unplayable if you turn traction/stability control off.

gears of war was a shitty game... its entertaining for like 10mins but then gets boring as shit real quick
furthermore the online aspect of it lacks major

only game that makes the xbox worth shit is halo

i actually still own a mega drive and a turbo graphix, both systems with these crazy slot load mods that u need to boot games from floppy discs
  • edited September 2009

it's the only real game I'm waiting for in the first place... otherwise, I really don't care too much about consoles

^ That's how I started out when I bought my PS3. Only reason I bought it was to play Need for Speed. I realized racing games get boring surprisingly fast for $60 bucks, at least for me.
