Maintaining Good GPA in Computer science major

edited August 2009 in General
Hi Guys:
I am transferring into SFU computer science this september. I was wondering, is it really difficult to maintain a good GPA (3.5+) in CS during 3rd & 4th year? Are there "easy" 300 or 400 level CMPT courses ? The reason I am asking is because I want to do masters after undergrad which normally require a competitive GPA.

Thanks

From what I've heard. Taking upper level cmpt courses is like having the Governator slam a rusty pipe up your asshole.

CMPT 376 is a writing course.
CMPT 371 is usually not hard.
    CMPT 320 is easy.
    CMPT 363 is easy.

Those are the only easy upper division courses I can think of.

    CMPT 354 is easy.

But good luck trying to get a 3.5 CGPA average in CS... I think you only need 3.0 to get into a Masters program but I don't know.

Anyone taken both CMPT322 and CMPT376? Which of the two writing courses are easier/better?

Only thing I can find about 322 is that it's only taught at Surrey.
