Hmm well my ex gf was asian but I'm currently dating a white caucasian girl. So i don't think it matters but like it's been said before some races are easier for the family to cope with. Trust me... My current gf who is caucasian, her dad isn't too gung ho on us dating so i've received death threats from him is i continue to see her.

I believe it's the same for most people who think they have a "race" preference--because most people associate "race" with "culture" without thinking about how the two are actually different.
Although if there are actually people who simply date by "race" due the way a person appears naturally--then at least have the audacity to THANK THEM for making it so the rest of us to have more choices to pick from.

No I'm asian, I was born here same with my mom. My dad was born in Hong Kong so i'm asian. Both parents are chinese. As for my relationship with my girlfriend, her dad is racist. He hates asians a lot and he even called me out on it. He said that all asians are " scum". From what i learned though i think he's just afraid of asians taking advantage and hurting his daughter but that's still no excuse to be threatening my life. He's so crazy over this issue of us dating that he actually tried to end the relationship by taking us out. He shot a window out at his own house and luckily my girlfriend wasn't home but that window was her bedroom. I think he did this out of anger that we're still seeing each other and still in love and that his own marriage went down the sink.
I don't have a race preference, just cultural. Since I'm asian and pretty much entirely white-washed (enough that I actually enjoy Dave Matthews), I sort of prefer white chicks or asian chicks who are also white-washed to an acceptable extent.
Part of that comes from the fact that I realize I have nothing to talk about with people who aren't as culturally like minded as me. Hell, most of my shtick involves jokes only white or white washed people would get. Example, if you didn't get that Dave Matthews reference, you will not get half of the stuff I say.

It depends on how you define "indie". I see indie as a genre of music, not bands that have no record labels. SilverSun Pickups, Arcade Fire, or Metric has some indie rock feel to it. I don't really know too much, it's kind of obscure.

Indie is a genre of music, Independent refers to when a band or artists has no major label backing.
Also, Metric is the purest definition of crap, and should not be confused with good indie bands.
