cats are just plain weird , way to fussy, and you can actually see what pure evil is like when you look into their eyes........i have no problem hanging around them but i dont see how it can be fun to own one.
I can take my dog out for walks, play with him and so on. Cats are just the mammal version of fish.
dogs! they will be by your side no matter what, while as cats if they're not in the mood they just walk away.
my tenant has a cat, but it's not a house-cat so it roams outside during the day... the thing is vicious to say the least.
most cats get intimidated by presence of strangers, while as most dogs only get slightly aggrevated when there's a lot of new people, but will get familiar with the people in a short amount of time. Cats will either freak out at you or hide immediately.
cat = no maintenance, top off the food and clean the litter once in a while, she takes care of the rest herself
dog = lots of walks/clean up after it/timed meals + a lot more vet visits and general upkeep/maintenance.. really have to spend a lot of time to care for one.. having said that its fun to have around since hes more playful and stuff
Dogs, though I don't have either. Dogs are affectionate, happy and a joy to be around.
Cats have their own agenda, are very anti-social, and the cats I look after for my neighbours when they are on vacation constantly kill and bring bats and birds into the house, which I then have to pick up and throw in a bag, vacuum up bird feathers which are EVERYWHERE, and clean up any blood. It's a nightmare.
dogs = need walks, food, vet visits, more walks, can be in ur face if u dont raise it right, loyal, can attract bears back to u, can defend you from bears, can keep your yard and lawn free for cat/raccoon/bear shit
cats = annoying lil fucks, scratch doors @ 4am, meow like there is no fucking 2moro @ 4am, need litter box cleaned, can be picky as fuck about food, will probably ruin ur clothes (cover em in hair), need vet (if long hair it will prob choke on its own fur), snoby and likely to scratch the shit out of u if u piss it off lol
ive had both ever since i can remember and i can tell u if u raise them right neither will give u a lot of problems
Personally i prefer dogs. They're easier to take care of and i think they make the better companion. Plus the perks of if you raise them right their loyalty and friendship will be beneficial and they also protect you from other wild animals.
