I'm Ryan and I'm headed to SFU for the fall semester. I'm from Hawaii but I'm kind of a dork and no, I do not surf. In fact, I'm not near the beach at all, I don't have a beautiful hawaiian lover, nor do I live a house made of coconuts.
I'm looking forward to Vancouver and meeting some new people and doing some new things because living on a tiny rock can really make someone go crazy. I hope it's going to be a great experience and that I will talk to you all in future.
Its definitely going to be a change for me, and any advice for a new student would be great. Otherwise just say hi!

but welcome i guess....
Hawaii is awesome, waikiki beach is like a paradise. Too bad a lot of places around town doesn't use aircon, though. Asian girls galore on the beach! I also miss paying a premium for purchasing macadamia nuts at the factory.
lol welcome to the site :D
i surf, live near a beach, have lived in a house made from the leaves of coconut trees, and spent 3 days living off of just coconuts :D
maybe now that you're over in vancouver you can try,
snowboarding, living near a mountain, spending time living in a house made from trees, not being a dork :D
i honestly got bored in hawaii so i can see how living there can drive someone crazy lol
their traffic is like x2 as bad as ours too and the highways are much wider
btw welcome to the forum
if i were to go back, which i wouldn't do, id hit up Maui
can i ask why u never picked up surfing? everytime i go to a beach with decent waves i try and work on my surfing but im still a noob lol
im probably going to central america this winter to take some surf lessons @ my friends surf school :)
lol Honolulu~~my favorite
i far prefer that kinda terrain, especially the jungle, over beaches anyday :P
i was just curious
@hikin
ya the inlands of the Hawaiian islands provide some awesome hiking areas
It's not quite jungly enough to attract film crews.
I've been to maui oncewhen i was 16. We were in an area called kehey which I think translates to mean "the desert".
I didnt see too many coconut homes when I was there, but certainly lots of babes.
If I were to go back, I would hit up the other islands though. Would also like to see more Volcanoes. But damn I love macadamia nuts :P
