I Hate Dell.ca

edited December 2006 in General
I'm writing a complaint letter that's 3 pages long and growing, but I'll give you guys a quick summary...

1. I order three compact flash cards online
2. I get an email that they can't process my order due to a Visa problem
3. I email and call to find out WHAT the problem was
4. No response for a few days
5. I call customer service, she is an idiot, says she can't help me or put me through to anyone who can
6. I ask her to cancel my order. Problem solved, right? Nope.
7. The order is charged to me and shipped out.
8. I don't need the CF cards anymore cuz I got them somewhere else.
9. I email the same lady who wrote me originally, asking for her to authorize me returning them.
10. She finally replies after 2 more emails and says I can send them back but gives no instructions.
11. I write more unanswered emails.
12. I try to use their customer chat online. They say 3 minute wait. I wait for over 2 hours before giving up!
13. I fill out a form on the website for return authorization.
14. Get an email asking for my contact info for the return, I reply.
15. Get ANOTHER email saying my info didn't match what they had, I reply and send info again.
16... Waiting still. I emailed a supervisor and I've been compiling a long letter detailing the whole ordeal... It seems to be amazingly difficult just to correct their own mistake!

Just thought I'd let you guys know that Dell.ca has THE WORST customer service I've ever encountered in an online company. I do a lot of online shopping! Be warned and buy things somewhere else!

    I love Dell.ca
I got a sweet deal from them and their customer reps have always been helpful and wonderful to me. I feel that they actually wanted to help me and spend time with me instead of rushing me along. Two thumbs up for Dell.ca and their reps, from me at least.

It's funny cuz my boyfriend has bought lots of stuff from them and never had a problem. I'm just amazed at the amount of people I've talked to who were unable/unwilling to do anything for me! Usually, even when you are frustrated with the service from one employee, someone else will fix things up for you and be nice about it. I'm still waiting for that person to come along!

That's what I'd heard too. I just don't understand how they can be screwing up so badly...
