Requesting to waive the pre-req?

edited July 2009 in General
Now, it's not like Im asking to waive an ENTIRE course from the pre-req.
I wanted to get into stats 201, the pre-req is 30 units, I have 29!
Has anyone asked any head of the department to waive something similar to this?
He's not back till monday! URRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRG :embarassed:

Just ask the academic advisor or the professor. I am pretty sure they will be nice enough to waive one credit. The way I see the unit pre-req is more of a way to warn new guys that you need at least a year or semester or so of post-secondary experience before you should try the course. Since you have 29 credits, I am sure you have enough experience.
