If so, are there any pointers you can offer for the exams? Also, to what extent does he test about the "key terms" in the text (I've been told that he is 'pretty much' based on his lecture notes) Thanks.
If anybody takes SA 150 with him in the future, the 1st midterm was very straight forward like primexx said. I would say 99% of it were based on his lecture notes. Just know those at a recall level, and the theorists in more detail (for 3 written questions for 10 marks) and you will probably do fine.
Here's the Hulkster's advice for exams, it works every time brother. If you don't know the answer to a question, just put "watchya gonna do when Hulkamania runs wild on you!" Being the intelligent people that they are, the markers will always do what's best for them, and knowing the possible consequences of having to deal with the power of Hulkamania, they will give you full marks brother.

i took sociology 150 last semester with Fish and he's a pretty good guy. He's straightforward and easy to understand. I personally found his course to be hard but that's probably because i'm not really a sociology kinda guy where we have to learn the theories and stuff. His exam was pretty easy because it's all based on his lectures. I found the textbook to be pretty much useless unless you needed to clarify some key terms. Just be sure to study the lecture notes and you'll be fine
I took Sociology 150 with Ken Fish. His exams are primarily based on lecture and text readings. Make sure you take good notes because the majority of the exam is based on memorization of obscure facts.
I dunno about the higher level courses but from my experience Ken Fish teaches a structured style that requires you to memorize and learn theories.

Student? I pass it to you.
I'm taking it as an elective and it sounded interesting. I enjoyed social psychology, so I'm thinking it would be similar, no?
