Has anyone taken ECON 210 w/ Mohammad Akbar

this could be my 1st course in sfu, so nervous making the decision.

could anyone give some suggestions? about the course or the prof...

    Sounds like you're in the same position as me! It'll be my first ECON class at SFU too.

    Check out his "Cheating is allowed" note on this course outline. Sounds like it's got a dry sense of humour, which works for me just fine.

    I'm going to go for it, with the Tues 4:30pm Tutorial. Maybe I'll see you there...

    sign, i havn't made my mind yet, some ppl said his class requires the hign skills of self-learning~~which is not my thing, so i tried to gather more information to make the call,

    er~i think that outline is for econ 305??

    I haven't taken 210, but I've had Akbar for two other courses (305 and 355) and had no problems with him. His lecture notes are very good (if not his verbal lecture) and studying them alone (he posted them online) made the exams fairly easy.

    Akbar. That guy. I had a course with him that ended with a 96% average.
    Be careful of his easiness, because the curve with screw you.

    never taken econ but it seems to be a love/hate thing with that prof
