edited July 2009 in General
Hi, I haven't declared my crim minor yet. Does anyone know when general registration for upper division crim classes start?

Its quite late...like almost a month and a bit after registration opens.

Registration opens on like July 6th @ 730.

General registration opens on like August 1st usually

Why won't you declare? Do you not have 60 credits yet or is it that you are missing a required course?

I thought you couldn't enroll in upper division period if you aren't declared (with the exception of 315 and 355), is there even an general admission period that will allow you??? (I'm curious)

Anyway, if there is, then just do what everyone else does and enroll first week once a few people drop the course, or keep checking back with go.sfu everyday multiple times waiting for someone to drop.

A lot of the classes are full by day 3, 4 or 5 of registration for people who are declared.

    That's what I thought too...

If it's because you haven't completed a course or if you are nearing 60 credits, just contact the Crim advisor (Gabriel Sauro) because he temporarily declared me as a Minor, by accident too, even though I'm still missing my Stats course and I'm only at 59 credits... He let it slide, so just try?

I have more than 60 credits but I'm missing one more crim course to declare. Crap.. I totally forgot you're not allowed to register for upper division classes (most) until you declared. I guess I have to talk to Gabriel to see if he can help.

Are you planning to minor/major in crim? Or just planning to take them as electives??

I plan to do crim as a minor

Well, I'm sure Gabriel will allow you to declare. He let me "declare" Crim temporarily as my minor and I'm only at 59 credits AND missing the required Stats course. I'm sure it will be fine. Just email him ASAP.
