SFU Parking Rates

I just walked by the parking office today and all i can say is

HOLY FUCK

come September, they are jacking the prices on the BLOT pass to $289 that is fucking $100 more then what i payed for the summer pass at $190.

WHAT THE FUCK, FUCKING SFU AND THERE FUCKING FUCK FUCK.

    what the hell? b-lot is DOUBLE the price of the g-lot pass?

    too much of a premium for not having to cross the road...an extra 1 min of walking is fine by me.

    aren't they cutting down a big portion of the lots for expansion? it's probably why prices are going up yet there will still be massive demand for it

    are hourly rates changing? :(

    Driving is sooooo expensive. Why not take the bus? Join me on the awkward 15 minutes ride where you try and avoid eye contact by staring at the ground.

    The hourly parking rates as of now is $2.75 per hour, with a maximum of 4 hours. The other option is full day for $11.75 (or 11.25, not sure).

    yeah, I know the current rates, but with the lot rates going up, I wouldn't be surprised if the hourly rate goes up as well =\

    time to start bussing again, wasted too much money these past few weeks driving up to sfu

    $20 increase per semester was heavy enough, now its $100 increase? Wow what's it going to be next semester jeez.

    You can trade an extra 5-10 minutes for free parking if you park near the Mountain Shadow and catch the bus up. I think it might even be faster if your first class is in West Mall.

    crap, unfortunately i don't come from that end of the mountain, i go through the gaglardi/lougheed side.

    ridiculous.
