sociology, physc, or something else?
hey everyone
im trying to figure out an elective course.. something basic (intro level) so was wondering what u guys suggest.. so far ive narrowed it down to: geography, linguistics, philosophy, sociology & psych.. well not really narrowed haha so anyways ive never taken a course in any of those so i want to know what u guys would pick and why?

linguistics- who cares
philosophy- hard shit, fuck no.
sociology- interesting course. yes.
psych- as above, but better. yes.
I've taken all except for Sociology. I would suggest taking whatever one you are most interested in... but be sure to find out about the prof too as a crappy lecture can ruin an otherwise good course!
Make sure you avoid Pankratz for Ling 100 or 110!
Your view on Linguistics conveys ethnocentrism, does it not?
Philosophy isn't that hard
Between Sociology and Psychology, I would go with Sociology. It's simply more interesting and applicable to more social sciences than is Psychology. This is because Psychology is more of a science than an art.
