edited May 2009 in General
VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Robson Square, SFU and the UBC Museum of Anthropology - just three of the many buildings designed by Arthur Erickson. The legendary local architect died this afternoon in Vancouver at the age of 84.

His influence was not only local as his buildings can be found around the world. His works include the San Diego Convention Center, the Canadian Chancery in Washington, D.C and most recently the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, Washington.

Erickson won the Gold Medal from the American Institute of Architects in 1986 - the first Canadian to receive the reward. He was also awarded the Order of Canada.
