edited May 2009 in General
anyone use the SFU dental plan to have a wisdom tooth removed?

if so how did the process go and how was the reimbursement?

any and all info would be appreciated.

thanks.

Shouldn't it be like any other dental appointments covered by SFU Health Plan? If your dentist is in the network, they pretty much did the filing and paperwork for you. All you have to do is pay after your vist and SunLife (our insurance provider) will send you a cheque to reimburse (give or take) the amount you paid.

Talk to the receptionist first. They have different coverage for different teeth or different fillings. Some are 70% coverage, and some are 30%.

I think the most you can get is 500$ and thats based on something like 70% coverage or something

A few years ago I had the same plan at my other school, and for the 2000 I paid to get them all out all I got was the 500 back, the website explains it pretty well
