Write for talkSFU news!
After months of preparation and planning talkSFU v.3 is finally ready for launch! Check it out: http://news.talksfu.ca
One month from now this will be the main page that visitors see when they visit talkSFU.ca The new format for the site is sort of like an online magazine/newspaper where student's will be able to publish articles about a variety of topics. Readers will then be able to comment and provide reactions to articles for instant feedback. There are a lot of smart people at SFU who like to write so I am looking forward to reading what they have to say about the world around us.
If you like to write and are interested in contributing to talkSFU news, let me know so you can get published!
The great thing about the online format is that you will be able to publish your work when you have time. Rather than having to deal with deadlines and meetings, you will be able to focus on writing quality material about topics that interest you. As a talkSFU.writer you will be able to login to the site online, type up your article, and click publish!
There are [4] talkSFU.writer positions available right now. If you have any questions, feel free to ask...looking forward to hearing from you.

@bufli as of right now there are two things that need to be done: integrate the forum with the main site, and integrate the login details of the news/forum/chat so that members only have to login once to access all the functionality. this could be hard or easy depending on your coding experience...it's outta my league so let me know if you can help
@danoobie as of now this is not a paid gig...it's a chance to get your views and opinions published while contributing to the SFU community...in the future this may change
@kt thanks for the interest, we're open to writing on any topic that interests you as a student...we will make different categories for travel, entertainment, business, etc. as we go along :)
