How to watch full length US TV shows

So, hotspot shield no longer works, and whenever I try it on US sites it recognizes that I'm using an anonymous proxy and tells me as much.

Anyone have any ideas? Although I'm just using youtube now since a lot of shows seem to be on there for at least a few weeks before removal.

    there's also http://www.sidereel.com and http://www.hulu.com although i've yet to try out the latter.. it was recommended by a co-worker..:tongue:

    I think Hulu blocks you unless you are American (or unless you hide your IP)

    What I'm saying is hulu no longer works. They don't let you watch now if you have an anonymous proxy.

    I'll check out those other sites though, maybe theyll work.

    i just download torrents off eztv, they download pretty damn quick and some are in HD

    Streaming sites? You can try torrent, although you have to wait.

    Sidereel is probably the best, but the quality isn't that great.

    yeah id just download any new tv stuff off bt, only a few hrs behind since they upload that stuf pretty fast

    Torrents are the easiest IMO (if you have a solid internet connection).

    I torrented 4 movies and 2 TV shows last night in under an hour. It's worth it for the better quality picture as compared to streaming online.

    They blocked my router IP from torrent sites because we were downloading 30gbs a day per person in the household =_=

    no seriously, how can you go 150 gigs a day for one family?? I downloaded season 1-3 of lost (25 gigs) and it took me a good 2-3 weeks to watch it all....How can you watch 150 gigs a day?

    Just because you d/l that day doesn't mean you watch it that day.

    Do you use a private tracker? I only torrent games. Movies I just watch in theatre, and I don't care about TV shows.

    I used to have Shaw and they would always cut me off the instant I start using BT, legal stuff or not.

    Nope, the trackers were all public. They were just popular torrents - movies from 2008/2009 and TV shows from last week.

    Weird, I'm using Shaw, and I've been getting amazing transfer rates in the last few months. They never cut us off either.

    go to anchorfree.com and download hotspot shield. freeware and it masks your ip. access hulu, pandora and even network sites like abc/nbc to watch anything you want!

    doesnt work anymore simon...

    they don't allow anonymous proxy like hotspot shield uses. at first they just stopped loading for me, and now it actually recognizes the fact im masking my IP

    i cant view anything on the major network sites, or hulu

    Purchase a vpn, if you look close enough you can probably find one for like 5 bucks a month. It'll make you american! Well appear as american anyways....if you really want to use this solution i'll post a tutorial on how to do this.

    Is this any different than using a US proxy? Cause as I mentioned several times most of the big sites have caught onto this and know the difference.

    They wont know your using a vpn. I won't get into the scientific background on it, but essentially this makes your ip the vpn ip for everything. The big guys like hotspot shield are monitored and they are blocked, but small vpn service providers arent watched at all... because anybody can create a vpn if they wanted to. Like if you knew someone in the usa they could create you a vpn for example...

    Interesting.

    This is all stupid, and I looked into why the US is blocking our access, and it's actually the Canadian government being stupidly lame and conservative.

    They don't want Canadians watching TV that isn't on Canadian TV stations, just stupid. If the government was smart, they would create a Canadian version of CBS, ABC, NBC and FOX. Have Canadian news on the stations, but have the US shows.
