Starbucks offers 2 hours free a day. The way it works is ...

Go to starbucks and get a starbucks card… it costs nothing for the card, just the money you load it with (like pre-purchased credit). Then buy a drink on your card.
When you go to sign onto their internet it will get you to register your card. Basically as long as you’ve made a purchase on that card in the past 30 days (doesnt have to be the day youre there to use their internet) you get 2 hours free a day.
I use it a lot. I bought a drink there like 3 weeks ago… and ive been in like 4 times since just to use internet. If youre not buying a drink though, id sit out of sight so they dont notice and get pissed off, lol. the cards are reloadable, so you dont have to keep registering a new card. And the wi-fi is free, it just requires a purchase within the last 30 days. :teeth:

The card also gives you free upgrades such as free soy milk, flavour shots, etc. And I think free coffee refills of their filter coffee too. :teeth:

And if you get a “red card” then every purchase you make they donate 5% to a charity.

It requires purchase? I have a $5 Starbucks card from 2 years ago that I've never made any purchases on, and I registered it last year-ish.. still full balance, and I walked into a Starbucks and used their wi-fi the other day without buying anything lol (sat in the corner of their lounge area just out of sight =P). Next time I go to Starbucks (not very likely) with my laptop, I'll try again to see what happens.

If you compare it with those new lattes Tim Hortons has (which FYI are out of their per-usual pre-mixed bins), it's really not that bad. And you can opt for no-fat!

Ever since Tim Hortons went public, their food and drink quality has declined drastically. Trust me I was a huge Tim Hortons fan at one point, but now I find their coffee bland and boring...almost like powdered mix.

Starbucks is a little pricier but their drinks are nice and hottt and always well made...the coffee just has more flavor do it...even though I hate Starbucks "corporation" I like their coffee better than Tim Hortons, and it's only a quarter more or something so its worth it.

no fat sucks the life out of everything, i always opt for the full-fat versions lol

I dont drink regular coffee much anyways, and when i do go to starbucks its for one of those fancy frothy drinks. Tim Hortons doesnt seem to have any of those.

i agree w/ Kevin.. i used to frequent timmy's alot cause it was convenient and their coffee was great.. i always grab a large coffee for work.. but yeah ever since last summer i noticed they're just serving watered down coffee.. it literally tasted like water plus cream and sugar.. and it wasn't just in one location either.. i am so done with timmy's coffee..

starbucks on the other hand is always nice.. and i don't find their stuff all that pricey (less the fancy lattes and frapps) since other coffee specialty shops charge well over $4.50 for their coffee anyway.. i mean it's quality coffee for a reasonable price and now that starbucks switched their machinery.. there isn't that burnt aftertaste in their coffee anymore..:teeth:

Every since I started watching Last 10 Pounds I've been totally turned off from cream/high % milk. I don't notice a difference in any beverage except for the regular lattes.
