Conflicker virus for April 1st

edited April 2009 in General
If you haven't heard, this is just a heads up.

Now SUPPOSEDLY there's a release of a large "infection" of this virus conflicker on April 1st, such that even Microsoft is fairly worried about.
Basically it can already be on your system, and it will open it's connections to its main server on April 1st.

So just to be on the safe side, take some precautions.

1-Update your microsoft operating system, download the system updates etc. http://www.microsoft.com/protect/computer/viruses/worms/conficker.mspx#EUB
2-Update your anti-virus definitions (or install an antivirus)
3-Update your spyware removal program definitions (or install a program to)
4-Go to the link i've posted below and use their conflicker tool to remove the threat before it goes hostile.

http://vil.nai.com/vil/averttools.aspx
Download and run the " 03/31/2009: W32/Conficker Stinger v10.0.1.537 "

Now i'm no professional when it comes to this but i've been around computers long enough to know this fairly well. However, there must be some people that are much more well informed about this situation than I am so do correct me and my post if there are any concerns.
