go canucks :) we need to tighten up our penalty killing and to do something on a powerplay. I say we get revenge tonight 5-2 canucks.

pretty big win tonite (considering cbj had passed us in the standings)

nice effort on the 4th by henrik
getting the lead back so quickly after frolov popped those 2 quick ones was pretty crucial

btw tasteless joke, who has lived longer: Kopitar or Bourdon?

    ^oh ya, my bad

luongo almost got caught earlier cheating off the post too
he's still not at his best yet, seems like bad goals are the norm once every other game, gotta need him in top form soon :/

and oh ya, henrik during that 5 on 3, shoot the puck buddy lol.. watching him stick handle in a prime shooting position is painful.. somethin along the ice far post will give a nice enough rebound for our guys to hack away at anyways.. dont always need that pretty play

That was a pretty good game...not at their best tonight but I'm glad things went there way. Sundin's patience and skill around the net is so great, he stays calm and knows exactly what to do with the puck such a good addition to the team. Sedin's goal was pretty nice, at least he shot it lol. His non shooting may come back to haunt them in the playoffs but it's a difficult habit to break I guess.

I'm looking forward to tonight's game Flames vs. Leafs...definitely bet the over lol

Ohlund was at Metrotown today at the Bell store near the skytrain entrance. Got my Canuck flag signed and a piece of paper with bell's blackberry storm.

so that post on cdc forum was actually legit? cool
  • edited March 2009
lol, yeah it was. it's a good thing the signings weren't publicized, or there would be a mob in front of the stores. apparently Kesler didn't get many people at the West Georgia Bell store, and the store was actually empty at times.

Burr was at the one in Guildford (or according to that post) and I toyed with the idea of stopping by. Too bad nap took over :P

pretty good day for the nucks so far
all the western conference games fell in favor of the canucks standings wise

and nursing a 3 goal lead into the 2nd

Good to see the Canucks beating teams that they should be and I hope they earn lots of money for their telethon.

was definitely at the game tonight! 1st period was well worth the price of admission =D

Canucks can still catch calgary :) 5 points back, 2 games in hand, one left this season against the flames, and the flames are struggling lately too. I mean they got destroyed by Tampa Bay and Toronto 8 goals against in each game. LOL GO CANUCKS

Anyone thinks Burrows can hit 30 goals this season?
  • edited March 2009
at the pace hes going at, it'll take 8 more games lol!

What a great game it felt like a playoff game :) Great effort by our special teams. Bernier and Kesler's goal was nice. St louis next up.

eh i said we'd close the gap, plus we haven't overtaken any1 yet, but yes its lookin good

kesler is avging like ~2pts a game @ home during the streak, just amazing
  • edited March 2009
Calgary really blew it when they lost Bertuzzi...otherwise the Canucks wouldn't be as close as they are to catching them in the standings.
  • edited March 2009
eh are you serious Simon? He has the worst +/- amongst Flames forwards and pretty sure it was the worst on the whole team at the time he was hurt. How did you figure he was such an integral part? The offense sure didn't miss a beat..
