Does anyone still watch Heroes?

edited March 2009 in General
It's starting to get annoying now, they don't give you enough bang for your buck each episode.

It's like bad sex where you don't get off.

The first season was like bam, orgasm each episode, now its like you never really get there, and the climax is weak each time.

    For example tonights episode:

Ok, does anyone know where the boy who breathes underwater came from? Did I miss something? I'm really confused about this.

Yaddi yaddi yadda, Sylar back story which is really not necessary.

Parkman captured for some reason or another.

Peter escapes using his new power to trade abilities-- wait, how the fuck did he get this power, did I miss some explanation? So he's like Kirby now?

Some other boring stuff, the end.

Peter was injected with the powers-giving serum which gave him this weaker version of his old powers.

The show has gone downhill, yes. I hate how Claire is always whispering.

    Peter Parker?

I thought he got bit by a radioactive spider.
  • edited March 2009
I believe it was officially decided that Peter Parker always had the powers and the spider was just a catalyst.

I am not a comic aficionado, so don't quote me.

Ok I must have missed the part where he "randomly" got powers similar to his own, or was this formula refined? I think I zoned out one episode so maybe I just missed it.

What about underwater boy where did he come from?
  • edited March 2009
Peter Petrelli always had the powers, the serum was just a catalyst. (I made that up)

I haven't seen this week's episode, so I have no idea about waterboy.

Yeha heroes is getting crappy now...

the water guy is from one or two episodes ago... HRG was going after him and Clair found him in a comic book store? And rescued him or something.

I never liked Claire that much, first she was the damsel in distress and now she's the rebellious-heroine-wannabe. The way she's acting now seems more like she's desperate for her daily dosage of crack or something.

Also, things don't make any sense anymore. I started going "how the heck did that happen??" when Peter's dad went back in time. HOW THE EFFING FLIPFLOPS DID HE HAVE THAT POWER??? And if he had that powe why didn't he use it to go back in time instead of making Hiro lose all his memory? It's such a roundabout and useless way of doing things.

How did she know he had powers? I thought he was just some random guy, but I zoned out that episode so maybe thats why I don't remember.

Peter's dad took Hiros Power in the desert (I don't know he got there and knew where hiro was, maybe he flew).

He could have gone back in time though and just killed the heroes off easily one by one, I think thats why they scaled back all of the peoples powers now.

im still gunna give it a chance, they need to sack the whole writing team and start off fresh though
Chuck is much better than heroes right now though

Okay I jsut watched the latest episode and WTF is up with the Sylar scene when he was a kid? It has to be the lamest thing I've ever seen.

His dad also has one of his signature "cut the forhead off the victim" power, which makes NO sense because sylar's main thing is understanding. I assumed he got that cutting power elsewhere... and if my memory serves right it was one of the first powers he stole when he was working with Mohinder's dad... and he ended up killing Mohinder's dad with it.
There should be no correlation between his dad and the power. Also, the power is used to cut off the head to see if the brain and how it works. Syler's dad would have a quick and easier time killing by using the power to off the lady's neck.

I guess the writers tried to make it some sort of symbolizism but failed miserably. Looks like they can't keep track of their own storylines.

Also, the kissing scene underwater is the lamest thing in the universe. only 13 year old girls would find that romantic. It's right up there with kissing in the rain (if any guy dragged me in the rain to make out I'll slap him in the face). I don't know how fish boy could possibly breath underwater without gills (i've justified most of the heroes' abilities because they alter thier cells to do things) but he can't keep her breathing even if he could breath underwater. Try smootching with a fish when you're drowning - doesn't work.

Sorry if this sounds like a rant but this episode pissed me off with it's ulimate failure.

Peter is such a whiner. Any time that I switch to Hero, it's always about Peter bitching about something. They need to add a new character with a very strong pimp hand as a power, and smack Peter silly.

agreed, using the same 'forehead slice' just seems sloppy and they shoulda used some other power to show him killing her

yeah, doesnt make sense how fish boy can help her breathe, not like he exhales oxygen lol

I stopped watching after the first season, couldn't stand the ridiculously dumb storyline of Hiro in Japan.
  • edited March 2009
I'm basically annoyed with everyone in the show. Especially that kid that follows Sylar around, I wish Sylar would just kill him already.
  • edited March 2009
the best parts of the show are when sylar goes on killing sprees

also, last season had visible bad characters, made the show better imo
  • edited March 2009
Frankly, the only reason I watched it this long was the dwindling hope that Sylar would actually kill everyone.

    Edit: oh, and Kristen Bell.

i agree heroes has gone downhill from the first season. I stopped watching lately and i don't intend to unless it starts to get interesting again. They need to move some of the story lines along.

Does anyone agree with the bad sex analogy?
  • edited March 2009
well u expect to get off having sex

i dont expect much when i watch heroes, so no :p
  • edited March 2009
I think 3rd season is better than 2nd season was though.
  • edited March 2009
i hate how the story line seems like its being recycled, with the whole containment thing, and how hayden pantne-whatever is so overrated

They don't care, as long as they get of-er... get ratings.
