Tax Season
Has anyone else computed theirs yet?
I went to quicktax and just typed in all my stuff, and I'm getting 1100 back in spite of only paying 600$ in income tax on 40k income :teeth:

The only catch is, with that program you need to do your taxes on dead trees. *shrug* I'm a cheap bastard like that and I get free printing at work.
And hey RandomUser, how are you getting back more than you paid out? Are you sure your doing it right :P
I've gone to school fulltime every semester last year, which is about 6000+ in tuition credits, + full textbook credit for each semester.
I also had some cosmetic work on my teeth which I'm able to deduct as a rather large medical expense as it had some medical relevance to my bite.
Before I entered all of my deductions, I actually owed them 2,500.00...
Based on my preliminary return, I might be getting back $2500. I need to wait for some T4s to come in though for confirmation.
Get a paper return form and fill it out entering the amounts in the boxes, or do it online entering numbers in the fields.
Or bring it to a professional if you feel like it.
This is my first time doing taxes... well, I'm just collecting all the info to give to my mom. Do I just need to print out the T2202A data? Or do I print out account summary as well?
I didn't keep some of my reciepts for my textbooks (didn't I need to until now...) is there any other way to prove that I bought them? I think think think I purchased them through debit... but this was last semester.
